About
Call Of Charon have steadily risen to become one of the most promising names in modern German metal. Blending crushing riffs with melodic precision and a fierce live presence, the band has earned critical acclaim and a growing fanbase across Europe.
Since their formation, Call Of Charon have played over 200 shows throughout Germany and mainland Europe, appearing at high-profile festivals such as Wacken Open Air and Dong Open Air. They've also supported genre heavyweights like Napalm Death and Unearth, proving their strength on stage and in the scene. Their discography has continued to grow with each release, earning praise for both consistency and evolution. The band's 2022 EP The Sound of Sorrow was met with widespread acclaim. Legacy Magazine hailed their musicality as "untouchable," while Metal Temple named Plaguebearer a contender for Album of the Year. Nuclear Blast Magazine boldly stated that "the international competition better watch out." This momentum has cemented Call Of Charon as a band to watch within the European metal landscape.
On August 1st, 2025, Call Of Charon will release their long-awaited new full-length Tales of Tragedy via Massacre Records. Mixed and mastered by renowned producer Stephan Hawkes (Attila, Chelsea Grin), the album further refines the band's heavy-yet-melodic signature sound. Tales of Tragedy also features standout guest appearances: Dane Evans of rising deathcore act To The Grave contributes vocals and appears in the official music video, while legendary vocalist Damien Moyal — known for his work with Morning Again, Shai Hulud, and As Friends Rust — lends his iconic voice to one of the album's darkest tracks. Now on their seventh official release, Call Of Charon continue to sharpen their identity and sound. As Metal Temple put it: "a beacon of hope for the genre."
Call Of Charon are Patrick Kluge (vocals), Arthur Solich (guitars), Tobias Fink (guitars), Christoph Knobloch (drums), and Alex Voß (bass)
